The Norwegian rearmament can be seen as nothing other than a threat, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said, according to state-run Tass.
The missile system in question arrived at Værnes Airport near Trondheim in connection with a military exercise at the turn of the month, the Norwegian newspaper Aftenposten reported. The system is said to have the capacity to fire Tomahawk missiles that can reach large parts of Russia, including Moscow.
"This gives us reason to take additional measures to ensure our security. Our Defense Ministry, as well as other relevant services, are dealing with it," Peskov said at a press conference.
