Negotiations between Russia and Ukraine have been paused, says Kremlin spokesperson Dmitrij Peskov, reports the regime-loyal Russian news agency Interfax.
"Communication channels exist, they are established, our negotiators have the opportunity to communicate through these channels, but for the time being we can perhaps talk about a pause", he says on Friday.
Representatives of the countries have met for peace talks on three occasions this year, but expectations of a breakthrough have been low.
