Much to fans' dismay, popular K-pop band New Jeans is losing one of its members in the wake of a long and bitter battle with the record label.

In 2024, the band announced that they intended to leave their label Ador, which they accused of "workplace harassment," the BBC reports.

However, in October, a court ruled that the band must remain with the company until 2029. A month after the verdict, all five members stated that they would return to Ador.

But on Monday, the record company announced that it had dismissed one member, Danielle Marsh, and terminated her contract - prompting outraged reactions from distraught fans.
