After starting the tournament in Houston, Texas, with rounds of 65 on both Thursday and Friday - a total of 14 under par - she secured an early grip on her third major title of her career.

A 27-year-old Nelly Korda managed that over the weekend. After finishing the final round at -2, she took home the prize check of just over 12.4 million kronor.

Korda also won the Chevron Championship in 2024 and the PGA Championship in 2021. With the victory, she becomes world number one again after Jeeno Thitikul of Thailand had topped the rankings ahead of Korda since August last year.

The best Swede was Maja Stark, tied for 21st place. She finished the competition one stroke under par, at -3 overall.
