The law states that marketing of games and lotteries should be moderate. KO does not think that the Postcode Lottery meets this requirement, and points to, among other things, an advertising clip where money rains down on a residential area and people rush to get in.
"We want clarification on what the Gambling Act's requirement for moderation means," says Elin Berner, legal adviser at KO, in a press release.
KO wants the advertising banned and backed by a fine if the advertisement is not removed.
"We do not share the Consumer Ombudsman's assessment and therefore it is good that this is being tested," the Postcode Lottery writes in a press release.
