A man who attacked with a knife against several people at a hotel in central Marseille was killed by police on Tuesday.
Five people were stabbed, the condition of one of them is critical, according to the prosecutor.
The origin of the violent act is said to have been a dispute between the perpetrator and hotel staff, who evicted him when he had not paid his hotel bill. The man is then said to have attacked first against people inside the hotel and then against passers-by on the street outside.
– He seems to have attacked people completely indiscriminately, says prosecutor Nicolas Bessone at a press conference.
