But the ski star has been selected for both the sprint and the skiathlon when the World Cup returns to Sweden.
Norwegian Olympic skiers such as Emil Iversen, Harald Østberg Amundsen, Martin Løwstrøm Nyenget, Heidi Weng, and Karoline Simpson-Larsen have also been selected. However, Astrid Øyre Slind, who will compete in Vasaloppet instead, is withdrawing.
Klæbo leads the overall World Cup ahead of Østberg Amundsen.
Klæbo won six Olympic gold medals at the Milano-Cortina Games and is now the best Winter Olympian of all time.
