The snowfall made skiing difficult in Lake Placid, USA. But one skier who has shown he can master all distances and weather conditions is Klæbo.
The overall World Cup winner - who won six of six Olympic gold medals in Italy in February - showed that the concussion from the fall in the sprint semi-final in Drammen, Norway, just over a week ago was no obstacle.
The Norwegian led the individual one-mile race from start to finish, winning by 14 seconds over second-place Andreas Fjorden Ree of Norway. Third came fellow Norwegian Mattis Stenshagen.
Leo Johansson was the best Swede in ninth place, his best-ever finish in an individual World Cup race. Truls Gisselman finished tenth.
