Klay Thompson’s Last-Second Three Gives Pelle Larsson’s Miami Heat a Thrilling Win Over the Clippers

With one second left in overtime, Klay Thompson hit the winning three-pointer for the Miami Heat. The veteran's shot gave Pelle Larsson's team a 117–116 win away to the LA Clippers.

After a slow start to the season, Miami has now won three of its last four NBA games.

But victory in Los Angeles was a long way off.

The Clippers led by as many as 20 points, but Miami forced overtime after coming back from a 10-point deficit in the final five minutes of the game.

In overtime, Miami did not lead until the final second, when 36-year-old Klay Thompson hit a three-pointer to become the hero of the game.

Thompson scored 30 points for Miami, which also had strong performances from Bam Adebayo (35) and Giannis Antetokounmpo (27).

Pelle Larsson was given a lot of responsibility, especially in the closing stages, and played more than 35 minutes. The Swede finished with seven points, three rebounds and four assists.
