With the new feature, customers can send money to each other in the same way the popular Swish service works.
"We want Klarna to function as a complete banking solution for our customers. With payments between private individuals, we make it even easier to manage all your payments via Klarna," says CEO Sebastian Siemiatkowski in a press release.
The service is already up and running on a small scale. It will be rolled out gradually in 13 European countries, but will initially only be available between customers who have Klarna accounts. In the long term, it will also be possible to send money across borders.
