In a statement, the Norwegian national team doctor Ove Feragen says:
"Johannes has mild cold symptoms and will not take any risks."
Klæbo warmed up before the World Cup race before deciding to pull out. The 28-year-old has started the season in the World Cup by finishing fourth in the 10 km classical and then winning the sprint.
He will now instead recharge for next weekend when the World Cup comes to Norway and Lillehammer.
The men's race – 20 km freestyle – starts at 09.30 and six Swedes are participating: Calle Halfvarsson, Måns Skoglund, Jens Burman, Johan Ekberg, Truls Gisselman, and William Poromaa.
