One round left and only three shots off the lead.
These are the conditions when Marcus Kinhult on Sunday goes in pursuit of his second career win on the European Tour.
Kinhult climbed the leaderboard in the Netherlands on Saturday, during a round of golf that offered a bit of everything. It included, among other things, an eagle – after a sunk approach shot from 90 metres – as well as a double bogey for the Swede. A stylish finish with birdies on both the 15th and 16th took Kinhult up to a tied sixth place on –8, three shots behind the leading Finn Mikko Korhonen.
Henrik Norlander was also in the thick of the battle after a rapid start with three quick birdies, but the finish was dismal. He dropped six shots to par on the last five holes and plummeted to 29th place.
The 27-year-old Marcus Kinhult took his only win so far on the European Tour when he won the British Masters in 2019.
