Marcus Kinhult played a play-off for victory in the European Championship tournament in the Netherlands.
However, the Swede had to settle for second place in the end.
Kinhult, who was tied sixth when the final round started, finished top on eleven under par alongside Englishman Joe Dean and Italian Guido Migliozzi.
Thus, the trio had to compete for victory in a play-off.
First, all three made birdie on the 18th hole. When they then played the final hole again, Kinhult hit his second shot into the water. He, like Dean, had to settle for par, but when Migliozzi made birdie, the competition was decided.
The achievement was nonetheless long-awaited for the 27-year-old from Fiskebäckskil, who took his only victory on the European Tour when he won the British Masters in 2019.
In 2021, Marcus Kinhult collapsed due to a seizure and was later diagnosed with epilepsy. He returned and competed a few months later, but has since then only managed to reach two third places in 2022.
