It has been a quiet night outside the National Hospital, according to NTB's photographer on site. At the same time, many have continued to make their way to the palace to light candles and lay flowers.

The Queen, the Crown Prince, the Crown Princess, Princess Märtha Louise and several other family members have been by the King's side in the hospital. There is much evidence that Crown Prince Haakon spent the night there, as he has not been seen leaving the hospital.

King Harald has been treated for hemolytic anemia, a form of anemia, in recent weeks. He was admitted to Rikshospitalet on August 17 and over the weekend it was announced that the king received antibiotics for a bacterial infection in the blood.
