King Harald of Norway to remain in hospital longer than planned

The King was admitted to the National Hospital in Oslo on Monday due to fluid retention. He has been treated with cortisone for hemolytic anemia, a form of anemia, in recent weeks.

King Harald, 89, has been hospitalised several times in recent years. In February, he was admitted during a vacation in Tenerife after suffering a skin infection on his leg and dehydration.

In March 2024, he received a pacemaker after falling ill during a vacation in Malaysia.
