Thursday's meeting will be attended by senior representatives from tech companies Nvidia, Google DeepMind, OpenAI and Anthropic, among others. Britain's AI Minister Kanishka Narayan will also attend, according to Buckingham Palace.
"Those in our world who value our humanity and its crucial moral component eagerly seek your assurance that we will not lose control of our destiny," Charles will say at the opening of the meeting, according to a statement from the palace.
The debate about the risks of AI has escalated since the beginning of the summer, with several senior figures in the industry issuing apocalyptic warnings.
