The Duke and Duchess of Sussex recently returned to the UK after several years in the US. They have previously stepped down from their roles at the British court, and their return does not change that.
A letter sent on behalf of King Charles states that the couple are not working members of the royal family and will not have any official duties. They will still not be able to use the titles His or Her Royal Highness.
The letter has been sent to, among others, Prince Harry's staff and the government to clarify the couple's status.
