King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia are traveling to the United Kingdom on May 1 to visit King Charles and Queen Camilla. Foreign Minister Maria Malmer Stenergard is also joining the trip.
During the visit, the two monarchs will, among other things, plant the oak tree from Solliden on Öland, which was the king's coronation gift to King Charles in Windsor Castle's park.
On Friday, May 2, the royals and the foreign minister will participate in a roundtable discussion on life science at the Royal Society in London. The discussion is a follow-up to a visit in 2022 where a cooperation agreement between the two countries was signed in the area.
