King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia are travelling to Fagersta after last week's school shooting in Fagersta and will take part in a church service at Västanfors Church, the court announced.
"When such a serious event occurs, it is important to hold church services and come together. We need to hear that we are not abandoned and that light conquers darkness," said Lars Frisk, a priest, in a press release from the Diocese of Västerås.
The congregation calls the service a "Service with seriousness and hope."
