The film is about Novak's relationship with Sammy Davis Jr. and is the directorial debut of Sweeney's "Euphoria" co-star Colman Domingo.
The 93-year-old Hollywood icon is best known for her role in Hitchcock's thriller "A Study in Crime" from 1958. Around the same time she began a secret relationship with Sammy Davis Jr. during the height of their careers.
In an interview with The Times, quoted by NME, Novak says the relationship was not "scandalous" at all but was based on the fact that they had "so much in common," though that doesn't come across in the film "because Sydney Sweeney looks sexy all the time."
