On Monday, ten people will be brought to court suspected of involvement in the highly publicized robbery during the fashion week in Paris in October 2016.

The reality profile is expected to attend the trial in person and be questioned during the trial, which is expected to last until May 23.

6 million dollars

Kim Kardashian was attacked by several men who, after breaking into the suite at Hôtel de Pourtalès, tied her up, taped her mouth shut, and searched the suite for valuables. According to French prosecutors, Kardashian was robbed of jewelry worth 6 million dollars, including her engagement ring worth several million.

Kardashian managed to free herself when the robbers left the hotel room, but the incident left deep scars.

I was afraid of being raped. What's going to happen, am I going to die? I have kids, I have a husband, I have a family, Kardashian remembered thinking, in an interview with David Letterman on his Netflix program four years later.

Wrote a book

In January 2017, 17 people were arrested for their involvement in the crime, including Yunice Abbas, who was present in the hotel reception and threatened a receptionist with his weapon during the robbery. He was detained for 21 months but was later released pending trial.

Abbas has admitted his role and published a book about the incident in 2021. However, the proceeds from the book have been frozen pending the trial.

Abbas is remorseful and says that he only realized who the robbery victim was afterwards.

I'm just on the periphery. I wasn't the one who planned the job. I take my share of the blame, he tells AP.
