North Korean leader Kim Jong Un inaugurated a defense museum over the weekend, showcasing several weapons systems. The museum is a “national treasure” and represents the “strong spirit of the Korean people,” according to the state news agency KCNA.

The opening ceremony took place in conjunction with the ruling Workers' Party's 81st anniversary. Accompanied by his wife, daughter and the party's top leaders, Kim viewed exhibits ranging from drones to intercontinental ballistic missiles.

According to KCNA, the museum showcases the party's "great achievements" in the military field and is a "grand national treasury."
