In a letter reproduced by North Korea's state media, Kim speaks warmly of his “good friendship” with Putin and the relationship between their two countries.
“I declare my unwavering support for you and the Russian Federation,” the letter states. The North Korean dictator says he is convinced that “the holy just war of the Russian people” will end in victory.
As much of the world has distanced itself from Russia, the country has strengthened its ties with an even more isolated North Korea. Thousands of North Korean soldiers have taken part in Russia’s war of invasion in Ukraine.
