The performance "In the Ring with Glenn Killing" will premiere on July 3 and then be performed on the following two Saturdays at the large arena in Stockholm. The title comes from the Killing Gang's first television series, which aired on SVT in 1992.
"The reason the group chose to return to the name 'In the Ring with Glenn Killing' is that the format is excellent for the purpose," the group writes in a press release.
Teddybears' husband
The main band for the shows will be Teddybears. Several of the Killing Gang's famous figures and names will appear at Avicii Arena, although the group is characteristically secretive about what awaits the audience.
"Dear - and some less dear - reunions, cross-fertilizations and forward movement in a hopefully functioning symbiosis. This takes place under the leadership of Glenn Killing and Percy Nilegaard," the group writes.
TT has contacted the members of the Killing Gang, who declined and instead let us know:
"The Kid Gang only gives interviews in connection with this if ticket sales are going terribly badly."
Tickets go on sale on August 29.
At the Royal Dramatic Theatre
The Killing Gang consists of Henrik Schyffert, Johan Rheborg, Robert Gustafsson, Andres Lokko, Martin Luuk and Tomas Alfredson. In addition to “In the Ring with Glenn Killing”, the group also made the TV series “NileCity 105.6” and “Percy Tårar” on SVT, as well as several films - including “Torsk på Tallinn” and “Fyra nyanser av brunt”.
The group has put on two pub shows, the most recent being "Glenn Killing at the Grand Hotel" in 2000.
Next year it will be 18 years since the Killing Gang made their last major production, the staging of "The Dream of Herrön" at the Dramaten in Stockholm.
