KI: Household sentiment remains depressed

Swedish households have become somewhat more positive about the economy in May, according to the National Institute of Economic Research's (NIER) monthly economic barometer. However, the mood is weaker than normal.

"Retail remains the only sector where sentiment is stronger than normal, while household sentiment is weaker than normal," KI writes in a press release.

"The proportion of companies that expect to raise their prices in the next three months rose sharply and is now significantly above normal," adds KI.
