Under the deal, Story House Egmont buys the KF-owned publishing house Vi Kultur & Litteratur, which publishes the magazine Vi and its sister publication Vi Läser.
Maria Hamrefors, chairwoman of Vi Kultur & Litteratur, describes the sale as part of a streamlining of KF's operations.
"We believe that this is the best solution for Vi Kultur & Litteratur's continued development," she says in a press release.
The magazine Vi was founded as Konsumentbladet in 1913 and received its current name in 1937. During its heyday in the 1940s, Vi was a broad family magazine with a peak circulation of almost 700,000 copies.
