Six years ago, SVT broadcast the travel program "Keyyo with Rheborg in Russia" where the entertainer Johan Rheborg made an adventurous train journey with the host Kristina "Keyyo" Petrushina to her hometown Omsk.
Skateboards
Now the odd couple is back in "Age Crisis with Keyyo and Rheborg".
I felt that I was starting to get a 30-year crisis and then I looked in to see what you were up to and discovered that you skateboard and have turned 61. Then I thought that you might be sniffing out a 60-year crisis, Johan, says Keyyo, 28, and laughs.
In the program, they travel around the world, among other places to Japan. And they talk a lot about aging and listen to experts and ordinary people about their experiences.
Keyyo has begun to question the biological clock – Johan Rheborg sees death out there on the horizon.
For my part, the majority of life is behind me and what I have in front of me is measured. I do not know how long it is, but it's about making sure you do not "wastear" that time, he says.
Crisis-filled life
Keyyo and Johan Rheborg discovered during their first trip that they have good chemistry and came early after the last series to the conclusion that they wanted to work together again. Now they found a good topic to make TV about.
Just like the train hitchhiking we did, it's so nice that we could unite in what we are curious about, she says and adds:
But for me, it's incomprehensible how Johan can have a crisis! He is married, successful and has a great home.
Just wait, counters Johan Rheborg. Life is full of crises.
- When I listened to you, it struck me that you do not even know the next crisis. It's when you have a family and children and wonder "who am I? How do I fit in", he says and smiles.
The next crisis, it may become the next series you make in SVT? In six, seven years.
Then I might be sitting in a wheelchair, with oxygen..., says Johan Rheborg.
Yes, and I have a baby carrier. I mean, life is not crisis-free, it's just a matter of keeping up – and I think trauma is a bit character-building, says Keyyo.
"Age Crisis with Keyyo and Rheborg" premieres on SVT on September 24.
