With tonight's gala, the star knocked Jay-Z off the hip-hop throne. Lamar won five awards in total, including Best Rap Album and an award for the song "Luther," which he recorded with SZA.
Album of the Year went to Bad Bunny for "Debí tirar más fotos," the first Spanish-language album to ever win the category. Bad Bunny also won for Best Global Music Performance and Best Urban Music Album.
The Grammy for Song of the Year went to Billie Eilish's "Wildflower."
Furthermore, Swedish composer Ludwig Göransson added two more statuettes to his collection after tonight's gala. Zara Larsson, however, left without a prize after Lady Gaga won the category of Best Dance Pop Song for "Abracadabra."
