Los Angeles only needed 35 matches to set a new record for the number of home wins in an NHL season.

Adrian Kempe was one of the key players in the 27th win. The Swede capitalized directly on Anze Kopitar's pass and shot 2–0 in a power play in the first period. At the end of the second, Kempe found the net again, when he slammed in 6–1 on a quick Kings counterattack.

The rout continued in the final period.

We showed strong character for 60 minutes, it was fun to see, says Adrian Kempe according to the NHL website.

The 28-year-old Kempe has scored 31 goals this season and is the third most goal-scoring Swede in the league. Only William Nylander (42) and Rickard Rakell (32) have netted more times.
