And Bradley – ranked eleven in the world after his best season in a long time – chose not to include himself in the team. Instead, the six captain's choices were Justin Thomas, Collin Morikawa, Patrick Cantlay, Sam Burns and the rookie duo Ben Griffin and Cameron Young.
It was an extremely difficult decision, says Bradley.
I would say that there was a situation this year where I was one of the players – for a while – but then these guys stepped forward strongly and played their way into the team.
Then Bradley added:

Previously, Scottie Scheffler, Xander Schauffele, Bryson DeChambeau, JJ Spaun, Russell Henley and Harris English have played their way into the US team that will face Europe at Bethpage outside New York, on September 26–28.
Europe's captain Luke Donald will present his six captain's choices on Monday, when Ludvig Åberg is expected to be selected. Maybe Alex Norén is also one of the players that Donald is considering after the Swede's victory in last week's British Masters.
