The post, which was posted on the White House's official TikTok account on Thursday, combines the song's lyrics "boom, boom, boom" with clips of bomb explosions and a caption that reads "Iran has been warned."
On Saturday, Katy Perry wrote in a post on X that she is "deeply appalled" that the song is being used as a background track for military attacks.
"Seeing a message of self-esteem turn into a soundtrack of destruction and violence is a complete violation of everything my song stands for," the artist writes.
In June, Ariana Grande criticized the White House for using her song "Bye" in a TikTok post that showed immigration police ICE detaining people.
