The actor Katrin Sundberg cancels the autumn's performances of "Ni hör vad jag tänker". In a post on Instagram, she tells that she has been affected by a rare cancer in the eye and must be operated on urgently.

Katrin Sundberg, perhaps most well-known for her Kristallen-awarded character Häxan Surtant, tells that an optician discovered a liver spot in her eye four years ago. At a new check-up a few weeks ago, it was discovered that the liver spot had grown.

"After a few days, I found out that it was cancer in the eye" Katrin Sundberg tells on Instagram.

"I need to have emergency surgery on the eye and it will be a long rehabilitation so you can think of me this autumn", she continues in the post.

The disease is very rare and affects about 60 people annually in Sweden.

"Please feel free to contact me" she urges other affected people.

The autumn performances of "Ni hör vad jag tänker" are postponed until the spring.

Katrin Sundberg is also known from films like "LasseMajas detektivbyrå – det första mysteriet" and "Beck". She also works as a director, screenwriter and podcaster.
