It was during the intervening days that Nyberg was suspected of drunk driving and drug use, which led the Swedish Transport Agency to revoke her driver's license in January.
Despite this, Expressen documented in late March that Katja Nyberg was driving a car despite the revocation; she has since been served with suspicion of a crime.
"It is illegal driving, a serious crime because the driver's license has been revoked," Chief Prosecutor Anders Jakobsson tells SVT.
Katja Nyberg has denied taking cocaine or driving under the influence. She has left the Sweden Democrats' parliamentary group in the Riksdag.
