There has been a storm in the Swedish Boxing Federation during the winter, but at Sunday's annual meeting, the election committee proposed that the sitting chairman Suanne Kärrlander would be re-elected for two new years on the post.

Resigned in protest
The annual meeting went against the election committee also in the election of two board members. For example, Karin Mattsson makes a comeback in the board.
Mattsson and Per-Axel Sjöholm, chairman of the boxing federation 2021–2023, left the board in February in protest because they considered that the federation was no longer a democratic organization. They believed – in their resignation letter – that there was cronyism in the appointment of a coach position.
There are factual circumstances that are less successful within the organization and that must be reviewed. It can be about conflict of interest issues. It is part of the organizational thing that I want to review, says Anders Holmberg.
TT has sought Susanne Kärrlander without success. Previously, she has commented on Mattsson's and Sjöholm's accusations for Expressen.
They come with pure lies. Of what is stated in their resignation, nothing is true, said Kärrlander to the newspaper in February.
"Felt an anxiety"
The departures and writings were a reason for Anders Holmberg to stand as a counter-candidate.
I have felt an anxiety about the development we have had. I want to go back to some order and calm, with a focus on the athletic.
Holmberg was chairman 2018–2021 and also vice chairman 2010–2014.
I want to give the boxing federation stability now and some work peace, with a focus on the athletic. We are a large sports family with over 35,000 members, says he.
