Reggae artist and rapper Björn "Kapten Röd" Nilsson has released the song as a tribute to his mother, who six months ago was told she did not have long to live, writes Göteborgs-Posten.
"She gave me the loving order 'you will sing at the funeral.' My beloved mother died five days later. And I sang," writes Björn Nilsson in a statement.
Kapten Röd was given permission by Elton John and Bernie Taupin to record his version, and the initial idea was not to release it publicly. But because the song means so much to Kapten Röd, he wants to share it with his audience.
