The controversial rapper's two shows at Gazprom Arena in St. Petersburg are in turmoil. Now the arena has announced that no rental agreement has been signed with the concert organiser.

"There is no such agreement. Accordingly, the concert cannot take place at our arena," Gazprom representatives wrote on Telegram.

The Moscow-based organiser Say Agency says the announcement came as a surprise and claims that the deadline for signing the agreement has not yet passed, writes The Guardian.

The concerts were scheduled for October 10 and 11 and would - if they take place - be the first major gigs in Russia by a Western artist since the full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022.
