The organizers of the Rubicon festival are now announcing on Instagram that the event – planned for next weekend – has been cancelled "due to external pressure and logistical challenges".
Protest groups had organized a petition against West's performance due to the anti-Semitic and pro-Nazi statements he has made in recent years.
At the same time, Slovak media have revealed that the location of the festival is still an unharvested wheat field on the outskirts of Bratislava.
Slovak rap artists began to withdraw from the arrangement, followed by one of the two organizers. Finally, West himself – now officially known as Ye – deleted an Instagram post about the concert.
