He's been banned from many places after the scandals of recent years. But this weekend, Kanye West suddenly visited rapper Travis Scott at a concert in Japan.

Kanye West, now known as Ye, made a surprise appearance as a secret guest at Travis Scott's sold-out Tokyo concert on Saturday. West drew cheers from the crowd as he performed songs like "Runaway," "Stronger" and "All of the Lights," writes Billboard .

Travis Scott, who is currently on his world tour "Circus Maximus", has two children with Kylie Jenner, who in turn is the sister of West's ex-wife Kim Kardashian.

In an interview in Complex earlier this year, West was praised by Scott:

That guy took me on when I was young, like 19. He taught me a lot about music – and not just “taught” me, he let me experience how music is created, he said at the time.

Kanye West has gone from being one of the world's most celebrated rappers to being associated with anti-Semitic statements, conspiracy theories and attacks on other celebrities in recent years. He has renounced anti-Semitism, but a number of major sponsors have cut ties with him.

The recently released documentary "In Whose Name" depicts, among other things, the scandals and the time when he received his bipolar diagnosis and divorced reality star Kardashian.
