The unnamed producer claims in his lawsuit that West, now known as Ye, and his record label Yeezy Records hired him “in an urgent emergency” in August 2024 to help complete the album.
The producer says he performed extensive vocal production services "under extreme time pressure," creating more than 400 individual AI voice generations using at least 13 custom AI voice models in addition to his own voice.
Later that fall, he also contributed AI vocals that were used on the album "Bully," writes NME.
Despite two years of demands, West has refused to compensate the producer for his services and has also failed to give him credit on digital streaming platforms.
