The Kansas City Chiefs are building a new stadium and at the same time changing state - from Missouri to Kansas.

The Chiefs have played at Arrowhead Stadium, on the Missouri side of Kansas City, since 1972. But now a new state-of-the-art arena is being built on the Kansas side of the city. The cost of the stadium, which was announced on Monday, is expected to be nearly $3 billion. The stadium is scheduled to be completed in 2031.

The star-studded NFL team has played in the Super Bowl three years in a row and won two of the finals. However, this season ended in failure, and the Chiefs missed the playoffs.
