The International Skating Union, ISU, allows Russian athletes to compete under a neutral flag if they have not supported Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, which began in 2022.
Kamila Valieva, 20, was granted neutral status earlier this summer, despite the fact that at the top of her Instagram feed is a video from a 2023 event where the 20-year-old stands side by side with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
In an email to Expressen, the ISU writes that the federation cannot comment on individual cases but that it may be under review.
"Each case is assessed individually according to current ISU procedures and remains under review."
