Kamila Sellier fell alongside Italy's Arianna Fontana and was then hit in the face by American Kristen Santos-Griswold's skate.
The race was paused while Sellier received treatment and a large white sheet shielded her from the crowd. Sellier finally gave the crowd a thumbs up as she was led away.
Representatives of the Polish team say Sellier's eye is okay and that she received stitches in the arena before being taken to the hospital, AP reported.
