Kalmar player exposed to threats, club calls it completely unacceptable

"We take the threats directed at our players very seriously. We consistently distance ourselves from all forms of threats and hatred."

The club also announces that "all threats will be reported to the police according to our established policy."

"It's something we absolutely don't want against players, managers or referees. It's completely unacceptable. We don't want to see it. It's absolutely not good," says Hockeyallsvenskan's sports director Erik Ryman in Expressen.

Kalmar is currently playing its quarterfinal series against Södertälje in the fight for a place in the SHL. The series is tied 2–2 and the matches have been contentious both on the ice and between supporters.
