Källberg, ranked number 31 in the world, took the first set 11–6 and was able to turn a 6–10 deficit into a 13–11 set win in the third.
However, Japan's Harimoto tied the match at 2–2 and was then too strong in the fifth and deciding set. Thus, Källberg was eliminated in the first round of the WTT Champions tournament with the scores 11–6, 4–11, 13–11, 9–11, 5–11.
Later today, world number two Truls Möregårdh will play against Denmark's Anders Lind.
