Kajsa Roth reaches European Championships final with personal best, says she is still in shock

I still haven't quite figured it out myself. Halfway to 5 metres. A dream limit. I'm still in shock. Tomorrow I'll probably realise... wow, she says in the mixed zone.

Roth cleared the height on her third and final attempt, improving her personal best by four centimetres. The Swede also cleared 4.40 in her final attempt.

"It was a bit up and down but it ended well. A bit of a tear down, but I got through it. I couldn't have wished for anything more," she says.

The qualifying height to reach the final was set at 4.55 metres, but no one needed to jump that high. The Swede was one of seven who cleared 4.50 - another five who cleared 4.40 made it to the final.
