Kaja Kallas is leaving her post as Prime Minister of Estonia to take on the job as EU Foreign Minister, reports the Estonian public service company EER.
Kallas has been the country's Prime Minister since January 2021 and was the first woman in the country's history to hold the post.
She is succeeding Josep Borrell in the post as EU Foreign Minister.
