The alarm about the explosion in Tumba in Botkyrka municipality outside Stockholm came in to the rescue service at 23.42 on Sunday evening.

We sympathize with the mother and child. But also with other affected parties such as relatives and neighbors. The Ministry of Justice is in close contact with the police who are investigating what happened, says Minister of Justice Gunnar Strömmer.

According to information to several media, the target of the attack may be a person at another address.

If it turns out that this has connections to organized crime, it is yet another dark example of the gangs' brutal violence and ruthlessness. The government is, as is known, carrying out a major overhaul of the policy to reverse this development. We are determined to continue doing everything required to push back this crime and restore safety and we will not slow down, says Strömmer.
