Julia Svyrydenko is one of several who get new roles in the government, where President Volodymyr Zelenskyj is shaking up the ranks in an attempt to give energy to a war-weary nation.

The change is however not seen as any major change in Ukraine, since Zelenskyj continues to rely on people who have proven to be effective and loyal during the war.

Zelenskyj has also appointed Olha Stefanisjyna, who has just left the post as Minister of Justice, as Ukraine's next ambassador to the USA.

"I have signed a decree appointing Olha Stefanisjyna as the President of Ukraine's special representative for the development of cooperation with the USA", he writes on X.

Former Prime Minister Denys Sjmyhal announced his resignation on Tuesday after more than five years in the post. He has been proposed to take over the role as Minister of Defence.
