The 26-year-old did not mince words when describing her season.

I've tried everything; more rest, more training, more explosive training, less explosive training. It feels like I've searched around quite a bit to find something that will make it respond," she tells SVT.

But I haven't had a single good race this season, and you hope it will come, but when it doesn't, it's disappointment after disappointment.

Halvarsson finished in 70th place, with three penalties and 3 minutes, 4.1 seconds behind French winner Julia Simon. Italian Lisa Vittozzi was second, and overall leader Lou Jeanmonnot of France was third.

The best Swede was Elvira Öberg, who finished eighth.
