Henriksson has suffered from pain in a tendon next to the Achilles tendon since last winter.
"And at the training camp in Cyprus I got really sore towards the end. That meant I wasn't able to train enough to do myself justice," Henriksson says in a press release.
"It's felt really boring, really tough and very frustrating for a long time now. I'm not where I want to be at all," she continues, and says that it was after this weekend's Swedish Championship competitions that she felt that it was no longer working.
Now rest and examinations await to determine the best treatment going forward for Henriksson's heel.
The European Championship will be held from August 10-16.
